Keep your WhatsApp account in good standing
Use recognizable branding, understand Meta's observations, and send messages people expect.
Keep your public identity consistent
Use the business name customers recognize across your website, WhatsApp profile and customer communications. Keep contact details accurate and avoid misleading affiliations. See WhatsApp's policy.
Tyxter's naming checks are Tyxter advice, not Meta rejection rules. Hints can flag formatting, promotional wording or a weak match with available project context. They do not rewrite the name or block an otherwise valid request. Phone provision/connect and WhatsApp Meta registration responses may contain warnings; legacy idempotency responses may omit them. Read/list responses do not carry these write advisories.
Keep these phone fields separate:
display_nameis your local label; editing an input does not establish a Meta approval.verified_nameis Meta's observed verified display name, distinct from business verification.pending_name_reviewis a current Graph snapshot, not a completed decision. Its absence is not approval; check observation freshness.name_reviewrecords a completed callback decision.DEFERREDorREJECTEDbelongs to this record when Meta reports it; decisions remain open provider strings. Review the requested name and Meta's reason against the display-name guidelines.
The phone-number guide explains refresh and clearing behavior.
Check business verification separately
Open Meta Security Center to inspect your business's verification steps. The dashboard's verification card is advisory and is not a sending gate.
Status may be unavailable until Tyxter can read it for your connection. A connection without an active phone may have no observation yet: unknown may mean not yet observed. If token access or a refresh fails, an earlier known status remains visible and may be stale. Use Security Center for the current state. unknown is not not_verified.
Business verification does not guarantee name approval or lift a ban.
Set marketing expectations and honor opt-out
Obtain the person's number and permission to receive messages from your business. Explain expected categories, including marketing offers. A saved contact is not proof of consent. Honor opt-out requests received on or off WhatsApp. Choose an appropriate consent method under applicable requirements; there is no universal format prescribed here. See WhatsApp's policy and opt-in guidance.
An approved template does not replace permission. Follow the template and customer-service-window rules for each message.
Follow the reason-specific Meta next step
For a policy restriction or ban, inspect Account Quality and the available review or appeal action. Reconnecting a token does not lift a ban. An uninstalled app or deleted account instead needs reconnection or a replacement account, as the notification explains.
Security Center and this guide supplement that remedy; they do not replace it. Operational notifications retain the event's specific next step.
Tyxter assistance depends on recorded evidence: a connection active for more than 24 hours or an accepted production send for the affected WABA can qualify for a written request for help. Staff review the evidence and may file or decline a review request. A known connection age of at most 24 hours with no accepted production sends, or a restriction already present at signup, follows Meta self-service. Eligibility remains unknown only when neither a qualifying duration nor an accepted production send is established and missing evidence prevents classification. This Meta action affects the WhatsApp connection; your Tyxter login, dashboard and unrelated features remain available, subject to independent restrictions.
Account restricted before or during signup
Meta can refuse a connection inside its own signup window: the Business Portfolio you chose is already restricted, or the new WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) the signup creates is disabled as soon as it exists. Tyxter may then see only that the signup did not finish, so it cannot tell this case apart from a closed window or a blocked browser.
- Read Meta's decision. Open Account Quality / Business Support Home with the Facebook profile you used in the signup, select the affected portfolio or WhatsApp account, and use the review action Meta offers there. Retrying the same signup with the same portfolio repeats the refusal; it does not request a review.
- Tyxter cannot file this review. A restriction already present at signup follows Meta self-service, and a WABA that Meta never shared with Tyxter gives staff no connection to review or raise with Meta.
- Another portfolio you own may still be refused. You can try the signup with a different Business Portfolio that you and your business legitimately own and that Meta has not restricted. Meta can extend a restriction to the business or the person behind it, and WhatsApp's policy allows it to bar them from future use. If that signup is refused too, stop and resolve the restriction with Meta instead of trying more portfolios. Never use alternate identities, profiles or businesses to evade enforcement.
- Check the phone separately. Meta eligibility and release requirements for your number still apply when you connect it through another portfolio.
- Deleting the restricted portfolio is a separate, destructive step. Meta's help center describes portfolio deletion as permanent, and it can also delete the ad accounts the portfolio owns. Read the recovery option below before considering it.
New account disabled and appeal rejected
For a brand-new account that Meta disabled and whose own appeal was rejected, one option is to delete the entire Meta Business Portfolio and create a fresh portfolio. In our support experience, we have suggested this option after an unsuccessful appeal. Customers have also reported automated appeal rejections; that does not establish the cause of your restriction. This experience is not Meta permission or a guarantee of recovery, number reuse or timing.
Start with Account Quality / Business Support Home: read the decision, keep the case reference and use any available review or support route before considering deletion.
Before choosing portfolio deletion
- Confirm that Meta permits you and your organization to use WhatsApp Business in the future. WhatsApp's policy allows future restrictions on an organization or individual after termination. Deleting a portfolio does not remove those restrictions. If eligibility is unclear, ask Meta through its available support route before proceeding.
- Have the business owner review the whole portfolio: WhatsApp accounts, phone numbers, Pages, ad accounts, people, partners and other assets. Record what must be retained and read Meta's deletion notice. Deletion may remove assets or access, interrupt other services and be irreversible. Do not proceed while needed assets remain at risk.
- Check the phone separately. Meta eligibility and release requirements still apply. Tyxter retains a phone restriction across portfolio replacement: creating a fresh portfolio does not make that phone connectable. Resolve the restriction before trying the phone again.
Delete the portfolio and create a fresh one
Only proceed if Meta permits future use and the business owner accepts the consequences:
- Sign in to Meta Business settings with your existing, legitimate Facebook profile. Select the affected Business Portfolio, confirm its identity and make sure you have authority to delete it. Keep your personal Facebook profile; this process does not call for deleting it or creating a new personal identity.
- In the portfolio's business information/settings, locate the action to delete the entire Business Portfolio. Deleting a WABA, disconnecting Tyxter or replacing a token is a different action. Read the confirmation for the named portfolio, affected assets, requirements and any waiting period. Meta may use different labels or make this option unavailable.
- If the owner chooses deletion, follow Meta's confirmation flow and resolve any requirements through Meta's supported process. If blocked, use the available support route. Wait for Meta to confirm deletion is complete.
- Use Meta Business's portfolio-creation flow to create a fresh Business Portfolio with truthful business details, recognizable branding and accurate contact information. Complete the checks Meta requires; do not misrepresent the business or use alternate identities to evade enforcement.
- Set up a new WABA and an eligible phone through Meta's supported onboarding flow, then return to Tyxter's Connections flow. If Tyxter still reports an unresolved identity restriction, stop and resolve it. A replacement portfolio does not clear a restriction on the business, individual or phone.
The customer and business owner carry out these actions in Meta; Tyxter performs no deletion through this guide. Keep accurate business details, recipient consent and compliance with the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy as prerequisites for future use.
